Your2Wheels was created by riders, for riders.
Our goal is to build a friendly, respectful and supportive motorcycle community where riders can connect, share knowledge, organise rides and discover the best roads, destinations and experiences New Zealand has to offer.
These Community Guidelines explain the standards we ask all members to follow to help keep Your2Wheels enjoyable for everyone.

Respect Every Rider
Every rider has a different story.
Some members are just starting their motorcycling journey, while others have decades of experience. Some ride sports bikes, cruisers, adventure bikes or scooters. Others ride every day, while some only ride occasionally.
Treat every member with kindness, patience and respect.
Healthy discussions are encouraged, but personal attacks, bullying, intimidation or harassment are not acceptable.
Ride Your Own Ride
One of the most important principles in motorcycling is:
Ride your own ride.
Never pressure another rider to ride faster, take risks or ride beyond their experience or comfort level.
Encourage and support fellow riders so everyone can enjoy riding safely and confidently.
Help Build the Community
Your2Wheels grows stronger every time a member contributes.
You can help by sharing:
- Routes
- Destinations
- Points of Interest
- Events
- Ride reports
- Photos
- Helpful advice and local knowledge
Every contribution helps another rider discover something new.
Keep Information Accurate
If you create routes, destinations or events, please keep them up to date.
Road conditions, businesses and venues can change over time.
Accurate information helps everyone enjoy safer and better planned rides.
Keep Conversations Friendly
Whether you’re posting in the Community Feed, Groups or Messages, remember there is a real person on the other side of the screen.
Please:
- Be respectful.
- Welcome new members.
- Offer constructive advice.
- Accept that others may have different opinions.
- Help create a positive environment for everyone.
We all share a passion for motorcycles—let’s make that our common ground.
Respect Other Members’ Privacy
Please respect the privacy of everyone in the community.
Before sharing photos of other riders, consider whether they would be happy for those images to be published.
Do not share another person’s personal information without their permission.
Promote Safe Riding
Your2Wheels encourages responsible motorcycling.
When sharing routes, events or riding experiences, help promote safe riding practices and responsible decision-making.
We do not support or encourage dangerous, reckless or illegal riding.
Businesses Are Welcome
Motorcycle businesses, clubs and organisations are an important part of our community.
We welcome businesses that genuinely participate, share knowledge and support riders.
Please avoid excessive self-promotion or repetitive advertising outside the appropriate business and advertising features available on Your2Wheels.
Use Messages Respectfully
Private Messages are intended to help members connect and build friendships.
Please do not use Messages to:
- Send spam.
- Repeatedly contact members who are not interested.
- Harass or intimidate others.
- Send inappropriate or offensive content.
If another member asks not to be contacted, please respect their wishes.
Help Us Keep the Community Safe
If you see behaviour that doesn’t reflect these guidelines, please report it to the Your2Wheels team.
Reports help us maintain a friendly, welcoming and enjoyable community for everyone.
Moderation
To help protect the community, Your2Wheels may remove content or take action where behaviour is inconsistent with these Community Guidelines or our Terms of Service.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
- Friendly reminders.
- Content removal.
- Temporary restrictions.
- Suspension of community features.
- Account suspension or removal for serious or repeated breaches.
Where possible, we aim to be fair, respectful and consistent in our approach.
