Share Your Ride or Motorcycle Event

Creating an event is a great way to bring riders together, whether it’s a weekend ride, coffee meetup, charity ride, motorcycle show, training course, or club gathering.

Once published, your event will appear in the Your2Wheels Events directory where other members can discover and attend it.

Before You Begin

Before creating an event, make sure you have:

  • An event title
  • The event date and time
  • A destination or meeting location
  • A description of the event
  • An event image (recommended)

Creating Your Event

To create a new event:

  1. Select Events from the main menu.
  2. Click Add Event.
  3. Complete the event details.
  4. Choose whether your event is a Community Event or associated with one of your Groups. When you associate an event with a group, the event automatically inherits that group’s privacy settings. Public or Private.
  5. Select or create the event destination.
  6. Add an event image (recommended).
  7. Review your information.
  8. Submit your event.

Once approved (if moderation is enabled), your event will be visible to other members.

Choosing a Destination

Every event must have a destination.

Before creating a new destination, search to see if it already exists. Start by typing and see it it auto populates.

Using an existing destination helps keep the community organised and prevents duplicate locations.

If the destination does not already exist, you can create a new one during the event creation process.

Writing a Good Event Description

A clear description helps riders decide whether the event is right for them.

Consider including:

  • What the event is about
  • Who the event is suitable for
  • Meeting time
  • Departure time (if applicable)
  • Ride distance
  • Expected riding pace
  • Fuel or rest stops
  • Any costs or entry fees
  • What riders should bring

The more information you provide, the easier it is for others to participate.

Choosing an Event Image

A good image helps your event stand out.

Suitable images include:

  • The destination
  • A previous event
  • Scenic riding photos
  • Event posters
  • Motorcycle-related images

Avoid using blurry or low-quality images.

Before You Publish

Before submitting your event, check that:

  • The date and time are correct.
  • The destination is accurate.
  • The description contains all important details.
  • Your image displays correctly.
  • Contact information is included if required.

Tips for Successful Events

  • Publish your event well in advance whenever possible.
  • Provide clear meeting instructions.
  • Update the event if plans change.
  • Respond to questions from interested riders.
  • After the event, consider sharing photos and a ride report in the Community Feed.

A well-planned event helps create a better experience for everyone and encourages more members to participate.

Planning Tip

If your event includes a ride, we recommend creating the route first. Once your route is ready, you can link it to your event so members know exactly where they’re riding and what to expect along the way.
