When creating an event, you have the option to associate it with one of your groups.

This allows events to become part of a group’s activities and makes it easier for group members to find and participate in rides and gatherings.

Group Events

If your event is associated with a group:

  • The event will appear within that group’s activities.
  • Group members can easily find and participate in the event.
  • Updates and discussions can take place within the group community.
  • The event helps keep your group’s activities organised in one place.

This is ideal for:

  • Motorcycle clubs
  • Regional riding groups
  • Brand-specific groups
  • Private riding groups
  • Social riding communities

Public Events

If you choose not to associate your event with a group, it will simply appear in the Your2Wheels Events directory.

Public events are a great option for:

  • Community rides
  • Charity events
  • Motorcycle shows
  • Training courses
  • Events open to all riders

Which Option Should I Choose?

Ask yourself:

Is this event specifically for members of one group?

If yes, associate it with that group.

If no, leave the group selection blank so the event is available to the wider Your2Wheels community.

You can only associate an event with groups that you have permission to create events for.

Event Privacy

When you associate an event with a group, the event automatically inherits that group’s privacy settings.

For example:

  • Public Group – The event will be visible to everyone who can view the public group.
  • Private Group – The event will only be visible to members of that private group.

This helps ensure that group events remain accessible only to the intended audience and keeps private group activities private.

If you want your event to be open to the entire Your2Wheels community, simply create it as a Community Event by leaving the group selection blank.
