Keep Your POIs Accurate and Helpful
Once you’ve created a Point of Interest, you can edit and update it whenever needed.
Keeping POIs current helps riders plan their journeys and ensures routes remain useful for the entire community.
Viewing Your POIs
To view your Points of Interest:
- Open My Points of Interest.
- Browse the POIs you’ve created.
- Select a POI to view or edit its details.
Editing a POI
You can update information whenever it changes.
This may include:
- Name
- Description
- Category
- Location
- Rider facilities
- Contact details
- Opening hours
- Photos
After making changes, save your updates.
Updating Photos
Adding current photos helps riders recognise the location before they arrive.
You may wish to update photos if:
- Facilities have changed.
- The location has been renovated.
- Better quality images are available.
- Parking arrangements have changed.
Deleting a POI
If you’ve accidentally created a duplicate or added a POI in error, you may be able to delete it.
Before deleting a POI, consider whether it is already being used on one or more routes.
If the POI is still useful, updating the existing information is usually better than creating a replacement.
Keeping POIs Useful
The best POIs provide practical information for riders.
Examples include:
- Fuel availability
- Food and coffee
- Public facilities
- Motorcycle parking
- Scenic viewpoints
- Safe regrouping locations
The more useful information you include, the more valuable the POI becomes.
