Welcome to Your 2 Wheels – a place for NZ riders to call home

If you ride a motorcycle in New Zealand, chances are you have spent time hunting through social media for an event, a route someone mentioned, or a post from your riding group that has disappeared down the feed. I have too.

I’m Angela, a rider and the person behind Your 2 Wheels. I started riding in 2021, and what I love most is the people you meet along the way. Riding has a way of turning a quick stop into a conversation, a planned route into a new adventure, and a group of riders into a community.

That is what I want Your 2 Wheels to be: a place developed by a rider, for all riders, with motorcycles at the centre of everything.

Start with the community

When you join, you’ll be part of the main Your 2 Wheels community. It is a place to get started, introduce yourself, see what other riders are sharing and ask questions as you find your way around.

From there, you can connect with riders you know or meet new ones. Share a photo from your weekend ride, tell the story behind your bike, or join a conversation about where to head next. The social side will feel familiar if you have used other online communities, but the focus here is riding.

Your crew can have a space of its own too. Join a group or bring your riding group onto Your 2 Wheels so members can stay in touch, share updates and organise what they are doing together. Whether it is a small group of friends or a larger motorcycle community, I want groups to feel like somewhere your people can call home.

The more riders and groups take part, the more useful the community becomes. You can keep up with your own crew while discovering other riders, places and events around New Zealand.

Find more reasons to ride

A good ride often starts with someone sharing a place they love. Your 2 Wheels brings together events, routes, locations and destinations so you can find ideas for your next outing and share your own discoveries.

You might spot an event worth adding to your calendar, find a route to try with friends, or come across a destination you would never have thought to visit. And if your group is organising something, you can share it with the wider riding community too.

There is also a Marketplace for motorcycle-related items. If you have a bike, gear or parts to sell, you can list them where other riders are looking. When you need something, you can see what fellow members have available.

The Rider Services directory gives motorcycle businesses a place to showcase what they do. As it grows, I hope it becomes a useful starting point when you are looking for a dealer, workshop, trainer, gear supplier or another service for your riding life.

You’ll also find articles covering New Zealand motorcycle news, events, bikes, gear and information riders can use. A weekly digest will help you catch up on what you may have missed.

Come help shape it

Your 2 Wheels is still in beta. Features are being tested, improvements are underway, and there are a few bumps to smooth out. I would rather invite riders in now and build it with the community than pretend everything is finished.

Come in, have a look around and introduce yourself in the Your 2 Wheels community. Connect with a rider, join a group, bring your crew, or share a ride you think others would enjoy. If something works well, tell me. If something does not, I want to hear that too. Your feedback will help guide what comes next.

I’m building Your 2 Wheels with plenty of heart and a love of riding. I hope it becomes a place where New Zealand riders can connect, find what they need and feel at home.

Welcome to Your 2 Wheels. I’m glad you’re here.
